Holiday, Hope and Having to let go....

This Thanksgiving was much like previous years before:

Lots of food:

Lots of unconventional meal choices:

Lots of Filipinos/Koreans/Lone Freckles sequestered in one central home in Adelanto - left to our own devices for entertainment:

The best part? There wasn't anything "bigger" looming in the distance. No pregnancies. No babies. No uprooting moves to a new home. No issues to address for the following year. For the first time in 3 years, my family sat down for Thanksgiving dinner and simply enjoyed each other's company.
