Ho, Ho, Ho...

Hard to believe that it's that time already. Mistletoe, gifts, lovely trees adorned with ornaments and lights...and, in our case, LOTS of traveling. Since my folks moved to Adelanto (aka BFE), our travel time has doubled. It's about 2 hours of driving but you have to add another hour due to the holidays. Thankfully, I have Jon who's more than willing to do all the driving. :D

Once we arrived, we were greeted with a deluge of yumminess. As usual, my mom hooked up the table with all the Filipino staples. And the tree... well, it was non-existent (bec. of the move) but its' absence sure didn't affect what what would have been placed beneath it.

The best part of this year was watching the girls hand out presents of their own. Kharina (our first baby) thoughtfully purchased each gift that she handed out. As usual, they were perfect and you can tell that she put a lot of thought in what she got each of us. Thanks to Tarjay's dollar bin, Jailyn was able to pick out her very own gifts s for each family "number" (as she puts it). Watching the joy on their faces as each person opened their tokens reminded me of what Christmas was truly about. Can't wait for next year.
